Religious Education is a core curriculum subject and as such a minimum of 10% of curriculum time is dedicated to the delivery of the Come and See syllabus. Children are able to engage with this syllabus through a variety of means including song, dance, role play and art. Throughout the year families are able to gain a clear understanding of what is taught through Class Do Jo, class assemblies, workbooks, home learning tasks, parents evenings, termly newsletters and end of year reports.
Below are just some examples of the work that is undertaken:
We love to share our learning with families. In September 2018, we began our school year by inviting our families in to work alongside us. Here are some images of our wonderful Y3 working in collaboration with their family members to explore the topic ‘Homes’. They finished the session with a beautiful Collective Worship.
Year 4 creating actions to the John Burland song “We praise you God” during their recent Advent topic ‘Gifts’.
Our Foundation Stage children had great fun during their recent ‘Celebrations’ topic. They explored celebrations in a variety of ways including, sending out party invitations and making their own party hats.
We enjoy using our outdoor space to enhance our RE Curriculum; this allows children to explore our world and reflect on it with Awe and Wonder.
