Reconciliation and First Holy Communion
Children in Year 4 are prepared for First Communion and Reconciliation by the parish, following a tailored programme that allows parents, children and parish to work together in developing their understanding of the sacraments, in conjunction with regular Mass attendance. Fr Dominic will liaise with parents and families of children attending Our Lady Immaculate and St. Josephs at Mass, as well as posting information in the Parish Newsletter and website. If you attend Our Lady of Good Help, Portico or a different parish please get in touch with your Parish Priest.
We encourage you to attend Mass regularly, as this is the very best preparation for the sacrament. There are also lots of opportunities to get involved in parish life; please make enquiries at your church if you are interested.
Our school continues to work closely with Father Dominic, and will still be available to help and support your child’s spiritual journey where we can. One the children have made their First Holy Communion, we hold a school celebration assembly and parents’ coffee morning.
