Welcome to Nursery!
Nursery Teacher – Miss McManus
Nursery Nurse – Ms Donougher
The children have all made a fantastic start in Nursery and are settling in really well. Ms Donougher and I are so proud of them and we are really excited about the year ahead!
For children entitled to 15 hours free childcare
The Nursery sessions are Monday-Friday 9am-12pm. Parents may opt to pay for their child to be in nursery for the full day on any chosen day/s at a cost of £20 per day.
For children entitled to 30 hours free childcare
The Nursery sessions are Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. Parents may also opt for our Breakfast and After-School packages.
Children are given a new story book along with their homework book every week. Book bags are given out each Friday. We ask that Book Bags are returned at the latest by the following Wednesday.
We kindly ask for £1 a week for your child’s snack in school. Our snack menu varies on a two-week rota. This may be paid in an envelope with your child’s name on and can be paid either in advance or week to week.
Children may bring a water bottle into school with them each day. Please ensure your child’s name is on their water bottle and that it is filled with only water.
Our P.E. day is Friday. Please ensure your child’s P.E. kit is in a drawstring bag as it can be left on their peg in school until the next half term.
Nursery Overview 2017-2018
Throughout the year, we plan many of our activities around the children’s interests so topics may change based on this. Aspects of the seven areas of learning are covered within our topics as we work towards the Early Learning Goals. For more information on the areas of learning, please see the EYFS page on our website.
To ensure your child’s safety, there will be a member of staff on the door at the beginning and end of our sessions.
If you need to speak to a member of staff, please arrange an appointment via class dojo, or we kindly ask that you wait until all children have entered or exited safely.
We ask parents to inform us if anybody new to us will be collecting your child and to ensure that they have your child’s password.
